This topic was covered in one of the early Tech Sessions after experiencing the problem of Removing & Replacing the Gorilla Spring in the C1 clutch actuating system.  The Gorilla Spring as it is affectionately referred to is a larger spring which is very stiff.  Unless an individual understands what they are doing the accidental release of this spring during removal can be dangerous.  Secondly, unless a technique is followed it is almost impossible to install this spring.  A picture of this assembly as it appears in the C1 is below.
